i never ever liked rock music.

i like many kinds of music, but it needs to have soul.

my first rap record was whodini.

my last one was dj jazzy jeff, ohmega watts or the new wu-tang clan (can't remember)

props to the c4 scene release crew!

Being a hip-hop producer myself and a huge wu fan. That last 8 diagram joint wasn't really that good. I was hughly disappointed. "Rushing Elephants" and "My Heart Gently Weeps" (Beatles sample) were the only two real goods records. Oh and "Weak Spot".

Yea Whodini use to be the shit. I loved that "Friends" record early 80's hip-hop. That last dj jazzy jeff album (2006) surprised me, it was actually really good, just didn't get enough promotion unfortunately. Use to be a huge Fresh Prince fan.

    Rock, for sure.

It just is so much more complex, the addition of an actual melody to meaningful lyrics instead of an extremely repetitive beat, with a monotone voice talking about his "ho's in da ghettos".....

I found the comment about "my music has to have soul" ironic coming from someone who loves rap. The only soul I see in rap is degenerate skinny white boys rolling around in their civics blaring the same damn shit beat.

    I can respect
some hip-hop artists for their work, but the majority of "rap" I consider primitive and 'gangsta-wannabe'-ish. The people that listen to that try to project a persona that they simply do not possess. Sometimes I find it slightly amusing.

Sometimes the beats, with nice sampling and stuff attracts people as well.
Atleast it is like that for me and a few friends. Some tracks you just listen to beacuse the beat is perfect and phat
What an ordinary day, the extraordinary way.

Rock definatly, but I don't hate rap like a lot of people I know. I think some rappers have a lot of talent, it's just not for me
