hi im in a bit of a mess got my son a new lappy but the power kept going off save energy its vista home basic in system tray its says power options i clicked the bottom one now the bloody thing wont come back on any ideas any one

Are you saying that it won't power on now? If so Try removing the battery and using the plug only.
