LimeWire Not as Popular as Recent Reports Suggest

Today several news sources again reported that 36.4% of all PCs have Limewire installed. The reports are based on a press release published by Digital Music News, who misinterpreted their own data. The acual install base is less than 18%, 17.92 to be exact.

The actual install base of Limewire is less than 18%, still impressive, but not even close to one third of all PCs. Nevertheless, LimeWire is still the P2P application that is installed on most desktop computers.

It use to be great program for music , you did n't even have to know the name of a song just type a lyric in search and Voila . A good test I use when trying new p2p programs is to search for the song Anus from Uranus by Klaatu , works every time .

Frostwire, Limewire's clean open source cousin is better.

I found Frost better than Lime but went to Soulseek and while hard to navigate at first , beats all the wire flavours hand down . I'm just talking music of course , and you can try more than one at the same time .
