You really dont have any idea do you?

Ask any Geneologist and just about everyone in the UK (Whose families have been here for a few centuries or were from Germany) are related to the British Royal Family by blood.

Since a huge percentage of the original settlers came from Germany and the UK, the majority of caucasian Americans probably have this "distinction".

Every Royal in Europe is directly related to each other...so since Victoria married Albert (German) then yes, their Children/Grandchildren will have German blood...just as the current Generation of Princes/Princess's have a higher % of Greek blood.

We have not a pureblooded "Brit" on the throne since Tudor times...(if not long before that)

William of Orange was Dutch (No "English" Blood at all) need I go on?

GeorgeIII was a few cans short of a sixpack too.....so what?

What are you trying to say with this argument?

You think we dont know where our Royals come from?

I assure you....who was on the Throne when, and why..what happened etc etc (Good and Bad) are taught at school in the UK...some of us are, dare I say it....Royalists.

    Your Right JPaul...

But you'd think a Scotsman would be Proud of the fact that there was a lot more Scottish Blood than English, sitting on the Throne of England

Being a socialist republican, in the true sense of the words, I have no interest in where they sit.

I would however very much prefer that we ceased being a constitutional monarchy and got rid of the whole sectarian, elitist, royalist institution.

    That's just me tho'

Here's the real anomaly if you ask me. A Catholic cannot sit on the throne.

Now I can understand the logic of the monarch being the defender of the faith, Church of England (Anglican I believe but correct me if I am wrong) so they should be one. However it's not a case of the Monarch having to be Anglican, just non-Catholic.

Atheist, Agnostic, Jew, Hindu ........ etc that's okay, but not Catholic.

It's institutional sectarianism. How can that be justified.

In answer to Rat Faced (about where his argument is going)and in light of WMDs recent posts, I think WMD is enamored with the prospect of the Illuminati. The secret society that runs the world behind the scenes, descendants from the Knights Templars.

This would explain this "coincidence", hmm! I think he would really enjoy the Gabriel Knight games.
Aren't we in the trust tree, thingey?
