Firstly I add a new harddrive(Seagate Barracuda VI 40 G 7200 RPM) and worked fine. A 1/2 a year later the registry kept going corupt no matter how many times I reinstalled windows 2000. I then gave up and put my old one back in(Seagate U series 8 GB 5400RPM) and set the other one as the slave, and I can put stuff on it ok and it works fine. If I copied the contents of my primary drive to that secondary drive, is there any risk of the registry going corupt again with a different registry and core files ect.

    Please advise
