An Idea Bout This Board !

seeing as there is no members online list anymore
how about having something like under there join date
like:

this member is offline
this member is online

so we will know wen a member posts something if they are online or not


i think this is a good idea

That sounds like a good idea to me. The answer I am afraid will be something like, " That's not possible as it's not in the software!" I hope that the on/line member list returns soon, as that is in the software.

I already brought this idea up for discussion to the Mod's and Admin's. Waiting to see the likelihood of it and if it is even doable with this forum software. One question brought up was:

Wouldn't that need lots more queries per page view, thus slowing the forum down???

So now we just wait to see what VB/Paul have to say or if the users online lists will return sometime in the near future.

I think we just need to get the list back up....why did they even take it down? The list is sort of useful so u can know who is on.

I think the intent was to be able to know whether the poster was still online.

So you&#39;d know if they&#39;d see your reply or Personal Message.

The online member list was removed to reduce the number of database queries. This to minimize the number of errors on the forum.
