Thread: IRC - Anyone still use it?

    I started on IRC many moons ago. But recently moved to totally Bittorrents and use IRC just for chatting and helping folks to use the bittorrents

    I Love IRC. You can get lot of stuff & knowledge there. Best to meet people whom u cannot find on any other chat site.

    That would be a nice idea in a perfect world, but the reality are long queues and servers not always working.

    IRC though is still a very ideal place to leech your mp3s.

    Not as into it as I used to be, but IRC is still great for anime releases.

    I think you people are all confused with FServs with iRC. But yes people runs FServ on iRN I know this very well as I run it myself. Depending on the network and channel you can always find bots hosting all kind of things. Nothing compares to DCC other than well sourced files on file swarming network.

    IRC is a greatway to be a part of the community to get closer to other and share ideas and thoughts that are not expressed in the forum.

    It can also be faster for requesting help or helping someone else rather then a forum.

    The trackers I'm in woruldn't be the same without IRC
