    i&#39;m just using mozilla now...it&#39;s the fastest browser i&#39;ve used
    although now i&#39;m on adsl, it&#39;s not too much of a worry...

    I thought he was asking about internet accelerators not web browsers ?? Im pretty sure hes wanting to ATTEMPT to speed up his 56k through a prog since he&#39;s most likely really really tired of waiting 45 minutes to dl 1 mp3...anyway from my own experience and downloads there are none that actually do the trick. The only way is to actually change your connection. I used BeFaster and it may have done a little something but it was prob all in my mind...

    It tweaks the networking settings for your connection, BUT you have to give it intelligent information.

    If you&#39;re on a 56k, don&#39;t select &#39;cable modem&#39; just because you think it&#39;s &#39;better&#39;&#33;

    i use modem max on my 56k and it&#39;s faster than the t1&#39;s at school.

    hey, i once tweaked my 28.8k to be faster than oc192
