I thought he was asking about internet accelerators not web browsers?? Im pretty sure hes wanting to ATTEMPT to speed up his 56k through a prog since he's most likely really really tired of waiting 45 minutes to dl 1 mp3...anyway from my own experience and downloads there are none that actually do the trick. The only way is to actually change your connection. I used BeFaster and it may have done a little something but it was prob all in my mind...

It tweaks the networking settings for your connection, BUT you have to give it intelligent information.
If you're on a 56k, don't select 'cable modem' just because you think it's 'better'!
i use modem max on my 56k and it's faster than the t1's at school.
