Plays But Won't Play

Help?

I've downloaded the codecs - the programs say my files are supported . . . and yet.

1/10th of the vids I download play, but play totally dark and soundless - only the time/crawlbar on the bottom says they're playing at all.

Any thoughts? (The same thing happens in RealPlayer - it says its playing, but I get a dark screen with the crawlbar timing along . . .)

ALSO: My old Kazaa program would search for each of my downloading files in turn. Since I switched to Kazaa.lite, it won't SEARCH for downloads, I have to individually punch and tell it "Download THIS" each time I connect.

Any help will be MUCH appreciated!

First check the file with gspot to make sure you have the correct codec installed. If it tells you that you do, then chances are the files are fakes. Usually if it's a codec issue, you will get either video or sound, or the picture will be distorted in some way.

Yep, do what Nikkid said and u can try download the kazaa lite codec pack instead of downloading individual codecs
