So I've been through the ringer trying to find an easy solution to set up for my Dad to backup his stuff.

    What I want:

    1) I create a profile of the places I want backed up (specific folders and files that will not change location)

    2) Have that profile saved in such a way that I can open the program, tell it choose that profile and hit "go!"

    3) It will backup the selected folders onto a Dvd-r

    4) It has to be simple looking and be very obvious and easy to make it "go!"

All the other backup solutions out there have too many options and zip all the files together and add encryption, etc. I only want file to file backup on Dvd-r with one click.

    Any suggestions?

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

Me also vote for Acronis. Using it for more than 3 years. I use it to create an image of my entire drive rather than folders.

Great piece of software, still remember those long nights formatting, installing each & every piece of software whenever the computer crashed with no option to retrieve back.

    Acronis rules !!!

Ah, I see Acronis looks promising. I'm going to try that out!

Thanks a lot for your help. This is so much better than searching cnet.com for backup software and trail and error test each one!
