This is my new Pc that I am planning on building and I would like some advice on how it all goes together:

    Enermax CS-3191L-B3A Mid-ATX Tower Case
Pioneer Internal Atapi 16X DVD-ROM Drive
    Sony 1.44 MB Floppy Drive
    Lite-On 52x24x52 CD-RW
    Western Digital "Special Edition" 120GB 7200RPM 8MBCache Hard-Drive
Kingston 512MB PC2700 DDR Ram (Not sure if I should go to 1GB)
Asus Motherboard for AMD AthlonXP Model# A7N8X Deluxe Retail
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ Thoroughbred/266 FSB Processor
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Dolby Digital
NEED A GOOD VIDEO CARD(Price needs to be under $300)

Anything else that I am forgetting just post it here.

BTW: Don't suggest any speakers, I am planning on using my stereo speakers which are pretty powerful! I am planning on getting all the parts from newegg.com

    2 things,
first is spend some of that graphics card cash on the rest of your computer, u should definitely upgrade that processor to at least a thouroughbred 2600 (its only about $20 more and gives u a higher FSB and this fsb matches the speed of the ram u are buying so theres a performance benefit) U can get a great graphics card for a little over $200, anything more and ur paying top dollar for not much improvement.

Second is that motherboard does not support serial ata which might be a bit of a bummer in a couple of years. As it is the new standard for connecting up cd drives , hard drives etc.

For the graphics card a 9500pro?

Things you havent mentioned: Mouse keyboard monitor

Okay I'll look into the Radeon 9500 and was also wondering if there is anything that nVidia makes that is a good video card and also I'll see what I can find under motherboards to get another one.

I am planning on using my mouse, keyboard, and monitor from my current computer.

a 9500pro is about $200 US as is the geforce 5600 Ultra (note the ultra) which is roughly comparable or maybe even better in performance. Or for $60 less u can get the very good geforce 5200 ULTRA
