Comparing bittorrent and rapidshare premium, I'd say RS wins easily in terms of content, speed and convenience. Although the 25GB in the last 5 days limit is a major bummer.

Rapidshare has great speeds but I don't see myself paying fo a premium account. Bittorrent can also give you fast speed depending on the tracker your a member of plus the added community to be a part of and the fact that members comments on torrents can be very helpful in helping you decide which to get. I personally prefer bittorrent

Both have advantages depending on what you want to do. The problem with BitTorrent is that if files aren't relatively new, there aren't any seeders left so it's SLOW to get them, if at all. It's also very tough on BitTorrent when people post a new Torrent then there are NO seeders. Maybe I'm missing something, but if you upload a file there should automatically be at least one seeder? - you. When I see new files, literally minutes old and no seeders, how does the uploader expect someone else to seed it? With Rapidshare, it's handy to simply download the file straight and even if it's in parts, they're easy to put back together. BitTorrent is much better at getting a file out to a larger number of people however.

Um, definitley BitTorrent (or MegaUpload), but NEVER RapidShare.. If you download a 100MB file, you have to wait like.. 2 hours to download again (or was it three? o-o). It's insane.

I think the issue is premium v bittorrent, obviously bittorent pwns free rapidshare because of wait times. I don't think one is better than the other, it depends on what you are after, ie: packs, high definition stuff- you'd go bittorent, downloading straight after airing- bittorent, but some of the more unconventional stuff rapidshare i find to be more useful(applications, some tv shows which I can't find on torrent sites I'm part of etc).
