This post actually posted with this PC.
I decided to fire it up just to post this.
Compaq Contura 400 Family Compaq Contura 400C, Model 250;
CPU: 50-MHz 486DX/2 SL Enhanced
Standard/Maximum RAM: 4 MB/20 MB
Hard Drive: 510 MB
Integrated Center Mount Trackball
9.5 inch DualScan Passive Matrix Color VGA
Full-size keyboard; Isolated, inverted "T" cursor controls
One internal (3.5 inch) 1.44 MB Diskette Drive
Wall-Mount AC Adapter; Extended-Life (yeah sure. ) NiMH rechargeable battery; Battery Gauge; 3.5 - 5.5 hours average battery life. (dead now ) so I have to run it with the AC adaptor all the time now.
Enhanced Parallel, serial, external monitor, external keyboard/pointing device; AC Adapter
Size and Weight: 8.9 x 11.9 x 2 inches, 5.9 lbs.
Compaq 28.8 PCMCIA Fax Modem. (dead ) So i connected an external 28.8 modem to the serial port. o
It came with MS-DOS 6, Microsoft Windows 3.1, Lotus Organizer, TabWorks, Compaq Learning Center. But I have updated it to Windows 95B and office 97.
It was bit tricky to updrade to windows 95 and such as there is no CDROM drive. I had to transfer the setup files (cab files) though a laplink cable connecter to my Pentium 133 at the time.
This laptop was given to me from someone who had asked me to help him upgrade his 486DX2 66mhz desktop PC.
The hinge that is supposed to hold the screen at an angle no longer holds anything. I need a large book behind it to hold it up.
I also have an Atari 800 PC with 48k ram that still works but I cant post with that one.

My first PC was a 486 DX66 way back in 1993. Had an 8-bit sound blaster card, an obscure grahics card can't remember what it was that was capable of SVGA graphics . T'was a beast of the time with Dos and Win3.11 chugging along, back in the day when Dos loaded first and then u had to type win at the command prompt for windows. Those were the days. It also had for the time a rare 1 Speed CD-Drive!!!!!!!!!! Jebus, possibly 100mb of hard Disk Memory as well, can't remember everything about it.
Also came with a full copy of Doom, one of the first pirate versions to hit the UK back in the day. Bought it of some tiny company working out of a London Uni. Ran classics such as the afore mentioned Doom, commander keen, 7th Guest and other classics. I loved that little beast.........

I still have a working Commodore 64, I guess that counts as a PC...
1 MHz 6502 8-bit processor and only 64k RAM, but it had built-in TV-out!

Yes still got one too !!
It made computing really accessible to the masses and games were graphically not great but big fun (Tetris was 1st here )I spend a lot of time playing a space-shooter called Elite.
It's now collecting dust but maybe ...one of these days...
