i have a p1 and a p2 and i would like to know the type of ram its using... how would i do that? any programs?

Easiest thing to do would be to open it up and look at the RAM modules and see what the stickers say.

If it's an OEM computer, check the manual, it will tell you in there.
Or if you dont have the manual, just go to company's webiste, (dell, HP, etc etc whoever you bought it from) and enter the model number of the computer to find manuals and specs.
