Thread: Replacing Kazaa With A Newer Version

  1. #1
Can someone help me how to replace my version of KaZaA with the newest version. It says I have to get rid of the one and download the new but will I loose all of my songs? I think I need step by step help. Thanks

Move all the songs into a different folder (just to be on the safe side)

    Uninstall kazaa.

    Install the newer version.

Move the files back into your shared folder.

Right click on desktop, NEW ---> Folder.

    Go into your shared folder.

    CTRL A (select all) copy

Go into the folder you created on your desktop, right click paste.

    Then uninstall your current kazaa.

Download the latest version and install it.

When I try to uninstall it says KaZaAlite does not exist and cannot uninstall. What do I do next?

Nope, no one's home. We all went out for dinner.

Are you sure you didn't uninstall K-Lite already? It's there a Kazaa Lite folder in the Program Files? (C:\Program Files)

    Okay.

Open the Kazaa Lite folder then and look for an uninstaller. If you find one click it, and it should open a window to start uninstalling K-Lite.
