    If you have right codecs like the KL Codec Pack 2.04 and its an avi, generally this is a Raw Bitmap Image, also know as a fake. Avipreview should use the same codecs as you players if I&#39;m not mistaken. However I don&#39;t soley rely on it since it distorts video at times making me think its poor quality or just plain does something strange. As a backup I use VideoLAN to preview which has codecs built in.
