I didnt ask him to either, he did it of his own accord to try to help me out. I didnt know he was going to say anything of the sort...just all of a sudden he messages me and says that the account is working again and:

I'll take your word on that. If that is indeed the case, I'm sorry to have gotten your hopes up, but as I thought you were trying to play dirty it was only instinct to play dirty as well.

I would only assume he did that in order to get his part of the deal as he's pretty much screwed both ways now since he A: lost his FTN acct and B: lost your part of the deal seeing as you no longer have your end of the bargain
