@sovaz: im a staff member of aom and i handle the admin mailbox. so this means i am the one who has to bring the bad news about their declined membership to 80-90% of the users who applied to our site. we are a serious community and we dont play with people. i can tell you that i dont take pleasure in turning people down. some people have been looking for a membership for more 1 year. we never advertise for our community, we carefully select members. we protect the material that is on our site and we have very strict rules for our members concerning sharing on other sites, ratio requirements etc. dont forget that magic is all about secrets. magicians dont want their secrets out in the open. the material we offer has a high value and our database is the biggest on the internet. we dont ask money for a membership, so tell me... if you all add this up. what would be our advantage of letting people in on purpose to delete them afterwards? more then 500 members signed up during those hours the doors were open and many of them were able to grab some of our valuable stuff. i hope you can understand now why we havent opened up our doors on purpose. thats why i was here.. to appologize for the inconvience, which i did. and i will do it again if needed. like i said before... if there are people who think they have something to offer, who are highly experienced in magic, they are free to apply.

but why people have to be "highly experienced" in magic for membership??
I sure none of AOM members is david copperfield or Houdini, so why amateur cannot be members too???
the way you mention this it sound like people here have to do some magic lesson before they appling to AOM.
I don't believe that, I'm sure that even not "highly experienced" have a lot to offer.
and be honest
how much from the application are approving??? 5%? 3%?
thank you S', you're realy good friend and I will never forget it.

From what I gathered. The site has highly valued magic trade secrets which should not be given out to those who are not experienced in magic. Think of a company like Coca Cola or Pepsi. Do you think they want their secret ingredient made available to the public? Especially with all the competitive companies around now? I don't think so. Same with AOM. If your not into magic or to inexperienced, then the site is simply not for you.

Already stated why. Pay good attention to the previous post. The Admin of AOM already stated why as well. I just tried to break it down for users like yourself that may not understand. I guess my post failed at doing that. I'll simplify it a little more for you.
AOM does not want anyone who is not experienced in the art of magic(Expert) period. You could be the president, you can be a celebrity. Thats their rules. Now if you read the admins earlier post. She stated that if you are an expert in magic feel free to contact AOM. If your not an expert, then AOM is obviously not for you, no matter how bad you want to be apart of the tracker.
