Slow speeds in uTorrent? ISP throttling?

Use some weird port that is not normally used by bittorrent clients and yes making sure encryption is enabled is a plus. I think that's all that is needed. I can get full speed uploading and I know my ISP uses traffic shapping.

what kind of ports do u mean. I read about this 1720 port and i used it but no difference!

Mine is mostly on 24/7 too, but after midnight I do selective seeding. That way I get to pick what tracker I channeled my bandwidth to.

Since broadband came out with them in 1998. Oh nice I only need like 1000 more for my 5 stars. Yeah I heard Rogers does the same with bittorrent.

Does anyone know if this version of uTorrent is known to help against Sandvine (traffic-shaping program used by Comcast)? Forced encryption and other suggested methods haven't helped, and my ratios are really suffering.
