Male shoe essentials:

1. standard tennis shoe- everyday use.
2. high top shoe- for that extra ankle support.
3. running shoes- I bought these in case I was chased, otherwise they collect dust.
4. pennyloafer- work shoe
5. casual loafer- for bars/clubs
6. sandals or old tennis shoes(waders)- for float trips.
7. suit shoes- don't know what they are called, but I have them- for weddings and funerals.

Men require a maximum of 7 pairs of shoes.
I disagree:
• White tennies - (for all-around multi-purpose use)
• Black tennies - (for weddings, funerals, etc.)

Two pair are all that's required.

Look, it's this simple:

1. steel toe docs for general use (were formerly used for school) eg motorbike, pissing about, fighting etc

2. chuck taylors for pretty much the same general stuff

3. This one isn't necessary, but, one pair old trainers for gettin filthy, muddy, sandy ,shitty etc

AND That's it

or maybe the one off wear shoes for formal things (but i borrow my dad's for those)

You're all wrong!!

Any well dressed man should have at least 20 pairs of box-fresh sneakers at all times. Gotta be "Old School" originals (not ridiculously coloured re-issues) preferably Adidas!! As for a more formal shoe - one pair for every day of the week, this enables a bit of stock rotation and this keeps wear and tear and unwanted odour to a minimum. More specialised footwear such as running shoes, boating shoes, waders, hiking boots, ski boots, etc should be purchased when needed and stored appropriately.

What is everyone's favourite shoe/trainer?? And what is the most anyone has paid for a pair??
