Like almost everyone else, my first tracker was demonoid. I didn't really use it that much though, the first tracker I really used was TL.

The vast majority are saying Demonoid, even though some say Demonoid is hardly a private tracker.
When it comes down to it, What does "Private Tracker" really mean?
I Download from demonoid and thepiratebay. Last week I got caught and got and email from verizon for downloading.
The torrent in question was downloaded from the piratebay.
I've researched this topic and comments vary from just ignore it, use a private tracker, use peerguard...ETC.
I'll wait a few months and see if a get more emails. There are quite a few more movies I downloaded after the one I was caught downloading.
Anyone uses rapidshare? and is it any safer?![]()
I was happy when I signed up for Demonoid. First site I was a member of. Still am impressed with the sites content. Was using private FTP's that did not have a large selection of content to choose from.
BTW, to the above poster.
I do not trust external files, which you must have downloaded.People have claimed to have received copyright, cease and desist letters from a few private trackers. So I have read. Not sure the truth.

Funfile.org was my first, certainly not my last, but definitely my favourite. As for what private tracker means - simple, a tracker you have to register as a member to use.
