    Major they all say windows not good for box coz of RAM eating ...u suggest linux or windows..i want opinion of an experinced user

    It's your choice.

    Your box has 1GB of RAM, which is plenty to run the free Web Windows.

    However, I would still go with a Unix box if it was my choice, but there are some options you may wish to consider:

    If you plan on using the box for a long time and putting lots of accounts there, your best management would be Windows and FireFox and leaving the sites logged in there and managing everything from there and just FTPing files back to your home PC.

    If it is just a couple, or a small number, of sites you want to buffer only, and a short term solution, then unix would be your best to get maximum up & down in a short time.

    okey.. i'm not going to use it for long..first its my firsttime..i want to learn it..so i will be taking it for a month only..but i dont want to waste lot of time after getting box..to buffer up maximum..then if i think i would buy now n then..is there any other option other than ovh[they have limited countries they provide service..n also i have some problem in setting up an account with them..still not able to buy it..their customer service is[i mean mail i dont want to try over phone.no direct dealings i want] not working also..but i want with same price too

    I would recommend starting out with ubuntu but debian is also a good starting point.
