    Hi guys

Have any of you tried the Windows 2003 Server Web Edition on a box? How is it compared to The "normal" Windows 2003 Server, what are the advantages/disadvantages when running ex. uTorrent?

Anything else worth knowing about the Web Edition?

    Thank's for any feedback!
    NOLF

only real difference is that the web edition only allows about 3 RDP versus the regular allows alot more.

TBH the web version is alot cheaper to license and a great option for torrenting.

The web edition is designed for exactly that web services, the difference is that it has all of the local control (Domain control, local user management CAL's) are disabled , these are things that are not needed on a webserver anyway so for a seedbox Web Ed is a far better choice since it consumes far less resources than the Std Ed, and runs only the services which are needed for a web server.

Sorry for not replying earlier, but had some serious issues logging on to FST!!!

I just thought that the web edition only allowed 10 concurrent connections?

Can I still add users and use the Terminal services manager and so on? Is all the Admin tools available?

    Thank's a lot
