For some reason my uttorrent on my seedbox keeps crashing. I have windows os, and when i click on uttorent it comes up but as soon as I try to click on the uttorent symbol in the lower right corner it disappears.

Could the company be blocking it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Jon

What version of Utorrent are you running? I would try uninstalling and reinstalling.... Also have you installed any other program recently that might be conflicting with it? I don't think your hosting company could shut it down. They would probably just block it. If you think they are messing with your Utorrent it might be worthwhile to try another torrent program to see what happens.

    Good Luck!

My VPS as well as a friend's both went down last night, so maybe there are some bigger problems on their end...but I don't think they're blocking us.

I'd try reinstalling uTorrent and see what that does.

Luckily for you I have your solution.

I have a Hosting-IE VPS too, and the problem is that the company blocks the process. Rename the utorrent.exe to anythingelse.exe and it should work like a charm.

At the beginning i changed it to seed.exe, 2 months later it happened what happens to you, changed it to asdasd.exe and works perfectly.

    Tell me if it's that.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for them blocking the process. Thanks for the tip.

I'm pretty sure you have the utorrent.exe in C:/Program files/Utorrent/ so go there, and change the name of the utorrent.exe for any other name like 123.exe and run it. If it works, right click, create shortcut and put it in the desktop.
