Thread: Radio Technican Element 2 Arrl Question

    I have some problems to understand this question see if there anyone who can help me:

    The question is T8D03 on the Element 2 test:

    What would be the length, to the nearest inch, of a half-wavelength dipole antenna that is resonant at 147 MHz?

    A. 19 inches

    B. 37 inches

    C. 55 inches

    D. 74 inches

    Wht is the forumla to find out the answer?

    On a half-wavelength dipole antenna. Divide 468 by the antenna&#39;s operating frequency (in MHz) [468/147 (in MHz)]
    That will give you the length in feet it comes out to 36.18 inches
