i am planing to upgrade to 10 or 100mbit fiberoptic connection in a month. and my primary source to get data is torrent as you may guess.

    so here are the questions:

"do you think that i can easily max my 100mbit connection while using torrent?"
"or 10 mbit connection will be more than enough"
"is there a torrent tracker that can max 100mbit connection in each torrent i try to download?"

just to let you know,i have account on some of the best trackers(according to levels) but i have no idea about their speed potential since my dl speed is just 1mbit.and also i dont wanna see pay extra money for 100mbit if it will never be maxed.

    so short for long:
"what would you do?" "would you upgrade 100mbit or 10mbit?"

i hope to get answer from the owner of 10 or 100mbit connection so i can make a choice depending on real life experience.

    thank you already!!

you can max out a 100mbit pipe easily on various scene tracker (sct, scc, ftn, etc.)

on each torrent? probably not on old ones with a small amount of seeders.

on the other hand sct has sometimes very fast seeders even on old files, so it really depends.

if you want to download a rare/old movie on a specialised tracker probably not, but who doesn't want to wait for a real gem.

10mbit download is about average and would be too slow for me. if you can afford it go for the 100.

it can never be fast enough

i wish i had the possibility to have 100 down at home. i have about 16 and max it out all the time.

    what about max speed?
how fast can i download/upload files from/to these trackers?
i have seen some peers downloading at 15mb/s at sct! it is a kind of extreme i guess, right?
or is it i a kind of speed i should get from a 100mbit connection?
btw thank you for your answer!

On my seedbox it's 100 meg.
I can get 10 meg up.
If the price isn't to bad I'd go with the fastest speed that you can get.

If you go with 100/100 make sure your home computer has 2 gigs ram.

you can max out a gbit pipe when it comes to download. 100mbit on download is really no problem.

seeding speed depends on various factors, but even uploading with 100mbit shouldn't be a problem on most scene trackers.

don't worry. you will max out 100mbit in both directions. there won't be any unused bandwith.

Yep, with that home connection you probably would be eligible to become and uploader at some trackers, as you would have the speed access and hard drive capacity (presumedly) to collect packs and other content. Definitely , go with the 100 mbit.
See ya in another life, brother.

you can max your speed for sure, most of tracker use seedbox to upload and it seed at 100mb, so you will max it for sure (ofc for new torrents)
for old torrent, i cant say much

ps. you are so lucky to have such speed LOL
    Vectoral FTW!

there are countries like sweden and some others where you can get 1gbit home connections.

the fastest average download speeds in the world has japan with 90mbit/s.

in sweden they just managed to install a 40gbit/s home connection, which is totally insane. you can download a movie in 2 seconds

here's a graph about speeds in different countries:

    now compare the prices:

if japan is filesharer's heaven than turkey is hell when it comes to speed and price
