My darling husband made me some fresh roasties . They were absolutely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
However, at this present moment my sink is overflowing because Mr Skweeky forgot how bad an idea it is to pour liquid lard down the sink..
Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of this, short of pouring sulphuric acid down the drain?

Boiling water and some washing up liquid to degrease it a bit. Don't leave it to set hard.

Remove the U-bend and de-lard it.
Do that prior to any of the madness these other non-builders are saying. Otherwise you are merely moving the problem someplace where you can't really deal with it properly.

If you don't want to use a commercial product,boiling water to start.
Plunging isn't that effective on grease but it doesn't hurt.
Baking soda and vinegar can work wonders.
If all else fails a drain snake(auger).
Taking off the u-bend is fine if you know what your doing and can reseal it properly ,otherwise you'll be calling in a professional.
I've done plumbing work at times so I'm not just spouting off.

Taking off the U-bend is a piece of piss as is putting it back on.
Perhaps not in Canadia, but she's not in Canadia she's in Cumbernauld. I've done shitloads of building work in Cumbernauld.

Oh and her Hunsband is/was a highly trained professional with Her Majesty's Forces so he can probably pull it off if she decides not to do it.
