    I heard what was purported to be the first ever audible recording last week.

    1860 or something else. 17 years before Edison and Marconi and them cunts.

    It was scratched on wax paper and was a French tune so there is no way of knowing if it was a good recording or not.

    What is was, was it was all really a scramble for patents. The technology and the knowledge were at large but it took money to bring it into alignment.
