Obviously anything which is an item of dogma within a specific religion is by definition non-negotiable. However there are also areas of theological uncertainty. Me for example, I'm not particularly concerned about much of the Old Testament. I'm more interested in the New Testament and in particular the teachings of Christ. To me that's what being a Christian means.
