nope, that isnt 1gbit but sometimes on 100mbits u can get 17mb/s or moreis that gbit?
physical max that can go through a 100mbit pipe is 12.5mb/s (overhead included)
speeds from pt:
hosting-ie i saw down and up right around 11 mb/s with other torrents going that were using a couple hundred kb/s so it was probably maxing out the 100/100 line.

I've seen 17 mb/s on a 100 mbit and up to 50-60 mb/s on a 1 gbit (lan speeds at a datacenter).
