    But if we talking about quality here I prefer dvd-r less space but not such a big differnt in quality.

    the average x264 720p hdrip has the same size as a dvd-r mpeg-2.

    size is not an argument.

    i don't know what kind of monitor/screen you have, but you gotta be blind not to see the quality difference.

    i have two 30'' 2560 x 1600 cinema displays. if you compare a hdrip to a dvdr, they are as different as day and night.

    I will not even start with 1080p.

    if you prefer dvd5, you prefer an inferior quality with about the same size.

    the only advantage of the dvd5 is, that it can be played on all standalone players.

    you must not forget that mpeg-2 is a 14 year old video codec. x264 is totally superior.

    looser, I watch directly on youtube... no space, and quality not much different rotfl
