Anyone know of a free email that doesn't put attachment size limits on? My bloody ISP decided that it would be super-keen to put a 10 meg size limit on email.

Edit: No, correction. It's a 5 meg limit. :flame:

Are you talking about incoming or outgoing ?

    I'll assume outgoing.
Why not make a segmented archive (eg using winrar) and send each piece as a separate mail.

Or make a torrent and send them the torrent link. I'm not sure how that works though.

Because doing that would really piss off the two guys I need to send this to. Stupid ISP. What am I paying them for anyway?

Do you have 24/7 always on service?
    Nod once for yes...
Go to Ebay and pick up an old Linux box for 50 bucks. Slap Redhat 9 on, don't bother with the GUI, and set up your router there. Also, setup an SMTP server and a POP3 server.
Then install a slave drive (1 TB maybe?) and you're set.

Just use your own SMTP if you have XP pro. It should be on the disc as IIS.
It doesn't take too much configuration to send but you can't recieve without a domain name.

    Not entirely true, Bal.
You seem to have forgotten the true powers of the force. All that you need to do is setup your account to map to your LAN, and then setup a DynDNS.org account to map to your WAN. Use DynDNS.org Updater, constantly update your Dynamic IP, and then setup forwarding in your account. Doing this, you can send mail as [email protected], [email protected], or [email protected]. You just can't receive at any address you want, but that makes spam so much better since they can't write you back.

Not this time chalk, we're both on shaw and I've been through this before. Shaw does some strange things with the mail and dyndns does not work here. We have semi dynamic IP's and all that but we are basically on a lan and can't control anything outside our own modem. Anything I send will be tagged (computername)@prod.shaw.ca no matter if I try to use a domain name, registered or not. there is no incoming mail without purchasing mega dollar plans or using their pop3.

Interesting idea chalk, but that's neither free nor feasible. balamm's got it right, though. Shaw does some weird, weird things.
