Well if the "art" students can not find relevant work, they will proceed to take shittier jobs.
This is a good thing.
Since the "art" students will then interact with those who generally have "shittier" jobs, and elevate their perspective.
Universities and Colleges are businesses. The more students they have, the more funding they get. I have seen struggling students 'pushed' through to the next academic year just to keep the numbers up. No thought for the student as a person who is virtually losing half a year of his life in a fruitless exercise. I say 'half a year' because that is all they last when they are 'pushed' up a grade.
As for art, it is a conceptional thing. Who are we mere mortals to criticise a pile of bricks when it wins an art contest.
The best way to keep a secret:- Tell everyone not to tell anyone.
