Actually, you're half right, Nige.
'Haven't' would be grammatically correct in this context. To use 'hasn't' would be to mix tenses.
'Learnt' would be correct though. It's also widely acceptable to interchange 'learnt' with 'learned' as the Past Particible of 'learn'.
Benjamin can appear quite learned sometimes despite all this. If there were any grammatical errors, then it was the failure to insert a question mark. And there's no use asking JP about that. His keyboard is bereft of a curley-wurley and has been for quite some time.
