    I have a little question.

If I change from Azureus to uTorrent, is it possible for me to keep the list of materials being seeded that I had previously on Azureus and transport it to uTorrent?

Yes, just import the torrent files you downloaded (if not deleted), or you may have to redownload them from the sites you got them from in the first place.

You will have to go by the sites stats rather than your own of course, no stats can be imported from client to client.

Don't forget to point your utorrent to the same download location as you had, but I'm sure you will figure it out.

I'm talking about what's actively on the queue. I didn't delete any of the stuff still seeding.

How do I import the list? Sgt I have to go to the sites and re-download the stuff??

So you're saying if I re-download, but the client sees I already have it, it automatically puts it in the "seeding" category?

Let me know peeps, I really wanna get rid of Azureus ASAP.

If you saved the torrent files from the tracker on your PC, then just reload them into utorrent and it will continue to reseed the files you have on your PC, it will carry out a recheck of the files then seed, so yes - it will automatically put it in the "seeding" category.

Just make sure your utorrent save directory is the same as your old directory, not a hard job to do.

If you didn't save the torrent files on your PC, then you will have to re-download them from the tracker and do it that way.

Don't worry, takes a bit of time and fiddling about to get it right, but it is worth persevering with it till it is finished.

    Done.

    uTorrent FTW.

BTW, now to configure uTorrent to be as fast as possible, what should I do?

I googled it, and tried to follow a guide. The first step was to dl a patch to change the windows command that gives you only option to dl 10 items at the same time on BT. But when running the patch it failed. Anyway I think I already tweaked that option with XP AntiSpy.

Should I change any settings other than leaving it all at "0" for unlimited speeds to make it as fast as it can go?

However, for private sites, make sure that these are UN-CHECKED:

    # Enable DHT Network: CHECKEDThis is recommended to be checked to improve speeds. More people will be available for sharing if this is checked.
    # Enable DHT for new torrents: CHECKED
    # Enable Peer Exchange: CHECKED
    # Enable scrapping: CHECKED

A better google link for more tips:

Leaving it at 0 is fine, but you might find other things slow such as browsing.

What I found was 85% of both up & down line speed maximum was my best settings (a little more sometimes - increase by 1% for your optimal settings), and it meant I could do all the other things quite easily.
