Hi everyone!
Whenever I visit someone I haven't visited before, one of the first things I do, is check out their CD collection. And that usually tells me a bit more about that person.
Likewise, I keep my own CD collection easily visible for visitors at my apartment. I even have my current favourites up in a CD wall, showing everyone where I'm currently at, musically.
Does anyone else check out other people's CD collections to learn more about them, and use yourn own collection to showcase your musical taste and personality?
What can we learn about a person from his or her CD collection?

To be Honest I don't think its right to sterotype People on their CD collection. for example my brother in Law has over 800 Metal CDs I bet you think hes got long hair full of tattos and looks bad ass? well pretty much the opposite

Cachaça or Cachaça
What can we learn about a person from his or her CD collection?
Not much........really.
The only thing you will learn from somebody's CD collection is what CDs they have in their collection - that's it!
Most of us have CDs which we never listen to - they just sit there taking up space, or we have them for a single song we like to hear once in a while.
Don't be so shallow as to seriously think you are going to get into a persons psyche simply by looking through their CD collection.
Later.

I agree with CC and Cely, its almost impossible!
I know a certain users having around 50k mp3's,
they cant all be Heavy or Country or Western or Country & Western or etc..
However, the way them files are organized might tell you something.
Cheers:
