Thread: I need information about Group policy

    Question Mark

Hi friends I have a specific question on Group policy. OS is xp Pro, sp2. Two users, one has admin rights (User name: user1, in administrators group) and the other is a
Limited user (User name: user2, in Users group).

How do I use gpedit to restrict what user2 can get to, but not restrict user1 access?

For example, how do remove the Run command from user2's desktop, but keep the Run command for user1? I've used gpedit to remove the run command, but it removes for both user1 and user2.

    Thanks,

    Nisarga

That's just the way it works.
No way of restricting specific users with gpedit unless you're on a domain.

I think you can do that in the windows servers only.
or with all windows but you must work under domain and have active directory

There are several programs that you can use to setup specific users with specific rights on pcs.

There are also parental control programs that will allow you to do this as well.
