...for POTUS, here on the board.

    Let the campaign begin.

In the spirit of this campaign I offer this random out of context quote as your first internet "smear"

    Larry????

It's funny how randomly clicking previous posts when one has no idea what the subject was can pull up.

    is this you?

Strange, we were just discussing something similar for the next UK elections.

My campaign slogan will be "My turn at the trough".

I think you spend more time on Youtube than I do.

Matthews, I think, is actually psychotic, no offense intended.

It must be remnant from his time with Jimmy Carter.

That last guy is a hoot, though; even if you wouldn't drink with him (I think I would), the "Hire The Handicapped" subtext is ingenious.

Don't spend much time on youtube, just know how to use a search function.
I was looking for the interview because I remember watching it and they were practically holding hands and making gooey eyes at each other- that clip came up.

So your opinion of Mathews as a commentator is based on who he worked for in the past?

I base my observation on how he performs as a commentator. Why would you say he is psychotic? Are Bill Oreily, John Gibson, Sean Hannity and Britt Hume sane? Who would you say, if any, is non partisan?

Joe Scarborough for example was a conservative congressman. A "contract with America" conservative, but as a presenter, he leaves his party affiliation at the door. He will call out republicans because he is a conservative. This apparently drives many partisans on the right nuts.

Who would you say, if any, is non partisan?

I know how to use "search" as well, but don't normally refer to youtube; no offense intended.

No, but it goes into the hopper with everything else.

I take it you prefer to be a bit more selective when determining the sum of a person, then.

    Funny; me,too.

    In order:

    O'Reilly?

    No.

I refer to him as "Bill O'Really"; I don't watch his show, thus.

    Gibson?

Yes, but given to the occasional counterproductive rhetorical flourish; don't watch him, either.

    Hannity?

    Marginally.

He has limited range, and is not terribly intelligent.

    I don't watch him.

    Britt Hume?

    A master.

I try not to miss his show.

I would say Hume presents as close to non-partisan as any you've mentioned.

Well, he could spend equivalent time calling out liberals, though I'm sure his bosses at MSNBC would call him out, if he did...

Honestly, I have no problem with Scarborough, but I don't find myself watching MSNBC in the morning too often; I usually watch BBC America, Fox Business, or Mike and Mike (for my sports fix).

I usually have some sort of news show on in the background all day, for which habit I blame the authors of 9/11.

I wish I could break the habit, honestly.

I wasn't actually thinking of just those mentioned.

You know those Eddie Murphy films like the nutty professor where he wears that fat make up? Well I've always thought Britt Hume and Dick Cheney are one and the same person, Cheney being Hume in the fat make up.

On Fox I would say that Chris Wallace was the neutral guy, or at least as neutral as anyone else I would consider non partisan in their work as commentator/presenter. My opinion on what they think or believe politically outside of their job as commentator would be a different thing altogether.
