Laptop Turns off

Howdy everyone. I've got the same computer. But a similar issue.

I'm currently trying to install XP on a new partition. But every time I go to install XP, about 30 seconds into the installation, the computer randomly shuts down. I try to use the power button a few times, doesn't work, then try and it works, gets back to XP setup restarting, starts up again, and then it shuts off once again.

Any reason, short of heat? I've felt this thing get a lot hotter than it is currently getting when it shuts off, and it hasn't shut off then.

Is there a setting in the BIOS to immediately shut down if the cooling fan stops spinning? It might stop if it's clogged with dust.
