I'd rather think I was discussing sports and athletic abilities.Originally posted by ttttttttt@15 August 2003 - 22:58

If you were talking sport - then my original answer stands.
Without question.
Duration of contest - 3 minutes max.
Is it fair to pit a boxer against a dancer/acrobat though? I'd score Chan a bit higher on maneuverability but you might be right if contact is made.
Jackie Chan if he had to, would win. Just a contest maybe not. Due to spiritual evolvement.

I agree why not have a little comedy while kicking somebodys ass.Originally posted by balamm@15 August 2003 - 16:15
Jet Li = too angry.
Jackie Chan = funny and cool.
Angry people make mistakes. It's a fact of life.
what u people fail to see is that chan and Li are in completely seperate leagues. obviously chan is good at what he does but his martial arts does not really compare to that of jet li, and you are only thinking in terms of the films and not the real deal.
Dont get me wrong i like chan as much as the next person but Li is obviously the better fighter.
It has been said that Jet Li's skill is only compareable to that of the master (bruce) an even then there is little in it.
you all seem to have missed the point that Jackie Chan is a wee bit older

Jet Li seems fairly playful in some of his earlier films (at least he did to me).
Anyhow, wouldn't the more focused person have a good chance of winning a fight instead of someone who is just having fun and isn't taking the fight seriously?
I'll vote for what many of you view as the underdog and go with Jet.
