there's a simple fake file section- the only obsolete part is i list fasttrackmovies as a source that lists fake movie file sizes to refer to but ppl are always reporting fake file sizes in forums - also that's not necessary for music files- just search the newest releases and you'll find fake ones all over- i just updated the fake file section there with this kinda stuff so it should be pretty straightforward- let me know if there's anythign i left out

Strange, I don't have any blocked IP's updater in the Kazaa folder. Do I have to write this application, or does it exists already? I hate doing manually stuff that can be done automatically.

It won't take long on some of these 100+ source download DATs to see a pattern. When I did it, I found the VAST majority of fake sources were in the 38.118.0.0-38.119.255.255 ip range.

yeah psi, cogent ,nhi networks etc are known fake file hosts in addition to the known fake files companies overpeer, mediadefender etc- the kicker is that we can't always submit the huge whois ranges to the pg db coz a lot of ppl import the ips into their firewalls instead of using the pg prog or k++ blocker (and those companies are involved in web site hosting so it messes with web browsing)

also the k++ and pg db lists are not identical in terms of the ranges- alot of bogus ranges have been taken out of the pg db that remaain in a lot of other ip lists- also the pg db is only online from 1-5 am gmt (8pm-12 am est) and the normal lists aren't updated on a daily basis so there's a lag time (they were just updated nov 1) i keep a daily updated list at the pg forum http://www.peerguardian.net/forums/i...?showtopic=682

face it peeps if u want anything new u better pack a lunch for the long ass wait ....
i seen sum good ways to spot this shit like lookin for high bandwidth .... sounds like it would work but the lot of the rest are a crock.... i seen fakes on aol connections and dsl and cable connections.. see why i said the bandwidth thing might work .... ? ...... not to be a prick here but these methods are a shot in the dark really O_O

nad just because u have kazaa lite kpp dosnt mean u wont get a fake cuzz i got several on reg kazaa and kazaa lite (the latest out from here)....
i thought even gettin a new p2p proggie would work since i thought maby the riaa aint worried bout that one yet.....guese what...... still didnt work..... im finding that these ppl are not only going after kazaa .... there are using kazaa as an example (since it's the bigest) and just fuckin other p2p's up at the same time... i thought it was only kazaa ......

i been lookin for this focus remix for three weeks now and not a good verision yet .... thats off kazaa / emule / shareaza / soul seek / and ares.... still no luck....
