I'm new to Linux but where should i start ,which 1 would be the easiest one to operate and least amount of problems

I' looking towards Mint or PCLinuxOS.
Ubuntu is a breeze to install and use and if you're trying linux for the first time this is definitely the way to go. I really prefer the clean look of debian though.
or opensuse 11.0 with kde 3.5.9 not kde 4... if you want a very stable system but with very new software..
i use opensuse 11 with kde 4 and i must say, it isn't so bad.. i have never seen a bug or so but i use it only for messaging, internet, media playet etc. not very special things..
Fedora 9 or Ubuntu Ultimate candy edition are best at least now

Try them all Via LiveCD's and use the one that works best for you.
