hi to all, as a total novice to newsgroups could someone give me a little help with the following problem,i a using news rover but i am struggling to get a connection i keep getting a message saying that unable to establish ssl connection,i have tyried all the different ports given by newsdemon help desk but no joy,my isp is a*l,could this be the problem? thanks in advance jcb

you should still be able to get a connection unless your isp has completely blocked newsgroup access which i doubt. I would just try another client and see if that helps. use port 119 for normal access or 563 for SSL, if you have it.
