(i post here since i dl movies only and cos i'm mainly curious on repercussions in that area)
Everone can see the shrinkin' of the kazaa-community.
4months ago when i started in the morning there were about 4 million users online, during the day going up to 5 million.
Now it is 2.6 in the morning up to 3.5 , 36 in the afternoon/evening.
Following the news on tv or the paper i should believe it's the riaa, mpia(?), stichting brein(dutch) and their threats in pressreleases that make people leave.
Can anyone tell me if there even has been one conviction??
How solid a case do they have with just an ip and a list of supposedly "shared" songs/movies?
What kind of users are actually leaving? (leeches, sharing-diehards, etc)
And what kind of files will be harder to get??
Could it actually be good for downloading, cos less "bottlenecks"??
And finally; where are they going??
(i know all the alternatives like bittorrent(not totally "save" btw), but is the community really shrinking or just relocating/spreading)
Would appreciate fullsentenced replys!!

PS Don't know if this tip ever came up, so i try it as a ps first:
When i have a big list of movies queued, i type "movie" in the searchwindow, at least 640 mb and autosearch more.
After a while i get the best sources for a lot of titles popping up...........
