    Question Mark

when d/l using Newsleecher I quite often get a message 'temporarily paused - downloading is faster than can be written to disc'

becoming a bit annoying, as it slows down the whole d/l process

is there anything I can do about this? Is my hard drive really that slow - my laptop is only a couple of years old, with plenty of memory/hard disk space

doesn't seem much point upgrading from 20Mb to 50Mb Virgin Media package (when it finally happens) if it can't cope on currrent speeds

maybe I'm using too many connections?

the problem is with your news reader........ using utorrent on my machine
and leeching at 8 to 10 MB/s gives no problems at all, but when I use newsleecher on the same machine I am unable to leech at full speeds.
When I reach around 4 -5 MB/s I am getting the same message you are getting.
The message itself is annoying, but that the downloads are paused for a few seconds is more of a problem.

This problem has also been discussed on the newsleechers forum, but no solution or any useful help has been given.

Downgrading to an older version of newsleecher was one of the suggestions.
I downgraded from 3.9 final to 3.8 final, but still had the same issue.

lol.. Being new to this forum and file sharing forums in general, I am surprised at the nominal number of newsgroup users.

    Bit off topic... but.
