Thread: The Great File Sharing Debate: Is it changing music?

  1. #1

Iím currently doing my research project on file sharing and digital music, and I am looking for people to take part in anonymous discussions. What I want to do is shed light on the subject from a music fanís and musicianís point of view, as so far, all we have heard on digital music has been from lawyers and music industry executives. This is an opportunity for you to make a difference at an academic level.

This research is not tied to the music industry, any legal departments or journalists.

This research will be an online discussion using a specific instant messaging anonymous forum, with the date and time set between myself and individuals, and should take no more than 50 minutes.

Only those over 18 should reply to this post if interested.

    Many thanks

Richard Davis, Social Research Student, University of Essex.

So where is this great filesharing debate to be found?
I had no clue that "changing music" was the new hype.
    Please advise.

This is a piece of prelimonary social research on individual's attitudes towards the impact of p2p file sharing and other digital technologies. I'm looking for individuals who would be happy to talk to me via IM one to one online about your own feelings and attitudes. And you have to be over 18 years of age due to ethical and legal resons for social research.

Please let me know if you are interested.

How thee heck are you gonna make sure we're all over 18? All we need to do is state we are 18, though we may be 17 and a half, or 3 and a quarter for that sake..
