Actually with a proxy, if there is something wrong in terms of his nat route to the site, using the proxy will bypass the broken route. So yes it will do something. All he would have to do is disable the proxy after login and he should be using a different route across the internets. You can rule out a number of issues this way.That won't achieve anything will it?
