    I would be afraid that the obvious choices- Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison- were too much the product of their age and would be seen as mere curiosities today.
    Syd Barrett hung around for a long time after being kicked from PF and didn't manage to do anything, so why bring him back to suffer?

    Freddie Mercury was probably the greatest showman of our time but what was left...his own theater in Vegas?

    They- and we- are probably better off leaving them to rest, secure in our memories and ensconced in legend.
