Thread: How to upload/download with Kimsufi OVH server

  1. #1
Hey all, ive had problems working with the NX client OVH tells you to connect to your server, it doesnt let you update any packages, install/uninstall anything. I then tried ubuntu 8.04 and ive got my torrent client working but ubuntu 8.04 is using my broadband connection and is not connected to my kimsufi server. What do i do ???

    Thanks in advance

I suggest you use NX Client to enable VNC and connect that way.

System > Preferences > Remote Desktop

    Select:

"Allow other users to view your desktop"
"Require the user to enter this password" (enter the password you want to use)

    Deselect:

    "As you for confirmation"

    VNC Viewer: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/vnc...x86_viewer.zip

Connect to Your_IP:0 and enter the password you chose earlier.

Dude, One thing I wanted to ask, Can I also download the data back to my comp that has been downed to the seedbox via private tracker via some other protocol like ftp, without hitting my download (ratio) and even providing me quite highh speed....

On Kimsufi (Ubuntu 8.04) I used this guide to set it up and it works like a charm.

Just using VNC + Wine + uTorrent + vsftpd. Also setup a webserver for some small webpages.
