It's quite common, many boxers fight at different weights throughout their careers. Didn't Hatton just move back down a weight. Several Boxers have held world titles at various weights. I've just realised it's a rod but fuck it.

The only fair solution is to have Men's competitions, Women's competitions and any sex competitions.

I say again, how is it fair on the man who would have been 32nd to lose out on prize money. If he then can't enter a women's competition and make up the difference. However the woman who was above him can enter that same competition and win more. That's iniquitous.

I don't think athletes worry so much about prize money. There are any number of jobs people can do if they're after cash. Athletes want to compete at the highest level they can. Boxers do move down weights, but not by choice, and their goal is usually for the highest class they can make. Actually, I'm surprised you think athletes get into sport to make money, and I'm surprised you think they begrudge other entrants trying to better themselves. It goes against all the principles of sporting competition.
